This had the potential to be an incredible story, and I learned a ton about birds--esp. hawks.
Part of the problem is that Matty/Marian was girl power taken to the extreme. Matty (who later went by Maid Marion, it's complicated) was the one who came up with all the good ideas for Robin (who began life in the story as Fynn) the one who was talented and the real leader. That ruined it for me. It's not that I don't want Maid Marion to be a strong character, it's just that one character being strong ...more
