What an awesome fairy tale! Magical and clever, moving but fun-loving. One of those lovely examples of children's literature being so well-written that it's a delight for adults too. A keeper!

I know Ella Enchanted is more popular mainstream, but I actually liked this one better. It had a more fast-paced plot, and the heroine undergoes a much greater character change.
