This book has been out for a couple years and I can't believe I've just read it. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the spin Alex put on Beauty and the Beast. Beastly is a modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast set in modern day New York City, and told from the point of view of the beast.

A very enjoyable retelling of Beauty and the Beast. In modern day New York, Kyle Kingsbury is an attractive stuck-up rich boy who has it all. Then Kendra, a witch disguised as a goth chick, does him a favor and reveals the gleaming beast that shines on the inside to glare on the outside. This is definitely my favorite modern retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I love that it stays more faithful to the darker elements of the original tale. Kendra is a fantastic character. I love that she isn't just a vengeful witch she really cares and wants Kyle to be a better person.
