This was a nice re-read of the book before seeing Neil tonight in Cleveland. The BBC production leaves a lot to be desired so I am looking forward to hearing about the upcoming project. BBC made it look like a B class horror film.

I liked this book but it isn't one of Gaiman's best books. It's his first solo book written in 1996. That was the year I graduated from high school. If I read the book then, I would have rated this book 5 stars. Since I have been reading other Gaiman books I'm use to his style and his wonderful worlds. I really see (read) his growth from reading ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ a few weeks ago and ‘Coraline’ just a few days ago, then reading this.
