Hood was my first literary experience with the tale of Robin Hood. It's an action-packed retelling of Robin Hood which I found entertaining but lacking heart. Bran's journey in this, the first of the King Raven trilogy, felt rushed and not all that believable. The tension / conflict was excellent, though. The chase sequences and battles, thrilling. I don't plan to read the rest of the trilogy but I do plan to further explore the legend / myth of Robin Hood. ...more
