I listened to the audiobook of Penelopiad, that's why it's getting four stars, for the narrator's sake. I feel like Atwood read Penelope's entry in The Greek Myths and so off winged a autobiography with the servant girls. It does encompass a lot of theories, and omits oddly, other connections.
It hints, but does not state outright that Penelope was believed to have slept with all the suitors and given birth to Pan.
