What is a hero? What is truth?
This is a YA book, but I would be careful letting young children read it even if the language is accessible.

It's fascinating how the author weaves Briar Rose to the events that occurred during the Holocaust. It would have never crossed my mind that a fairy tale could be associated with such a dark episode of world history, but Jane Yolen proved me wrong. Intriguing plot with an interesting ending. Even though it's the Holocaust and I knew what happened at the end, I have to say I was impressed.
