Author Christy Reece's debut novel kept me turning the pages when I ought to have been sleeping. I don't get a lot of time to read, so when I do I feel terribly disappointed if the book isn't enjoyable. I prefer a bit of grit with my romance, and this book delivers that quite well. It involves a topic that's near and dear to my heart — human trafficking.

3.5/5
Well written, interesting characters. Tortured/flawed characters. The H/H were sometimes stupid and quick to jump to conclusions, but that's the human element at work. I had no issues with how this book was written, or the characters interactions. I was a little bit dumfounded at Jordan... How many people would have that same tattoo dude? But other than that... lol

You know when you start reading a book and after the first chapter you sigh in relief because just from that one Chapter you know you are going to be reading a great book!
This is what happened with Rescue Me. Everything just meshed so smoothly, Characters, storyline, drama, sexy nekkidness, bad guys, good guys, etc
Everything just worked! I can not wait to read the next!

I didn't like the lying that was so prevalent in the book. I don't have an issue with it in moderation, but it was saturating the plot. I also couldn't fully get into the romance because she was yet again, lying to Jordan. While I can understand her reasoning, it still bothered me.

I enjoyed this book. As always I would enjoy it if the two characters got together earlier in the book, but the buildup was good. I love the fall in love/betrayal/make up storyline. Christy Reece did a good job in this book. I must say I was torn between enjoying Jordan or Noah. Good to see the next book in this series is about him. Def would reccommend this book!
Wow, loved this book from beginning to end and very tempted to go straight into the next book in the series. My first read of this author and it won't be the last till there is nothing else of hers to read. I love an angsty tale!
