I must say that I have not heard that much good about this book so I hestitated on buying it and when I saw it at the library I picked it up. I must say it was better than I thought it would be. I really liked this better than the first one I think. I liked all the characters and Isaac and Grier together were smokin. I did think that I wanted more about Matthias. Excellent read. I gave it four stars because I love JR's writing however, this was not my favorite. But keep in mind that I'm not really a lover of paranormal. Which brings up the question, is this considered paranormal? Not really sure on the definition of paranormal. Anyway, I love her use of metaphors. Like many Black Dagger Brotherhood fans, I started reading the Fallen Angel series, to fill in the gaps between BBD books. I was disappointed by the first book, it was no BBD! I liked this one (#2) much better, probably because it had less Jim, the main character....we haven't bonded yet. I did like Isaac, I hope he's not gone from the series. Still anticipating the next BBD much more than the next in this series
