I like this one even more than the first. We learn about Elena's past, and she unexpectedly has to deal with more than one showdown. Also, all of Raphael's seven are finally introduced, and boy, Ms. Singh could sure spawn another series with just those boys! Love to hear more about Dmitri and Ilium. I love the romantic words between Raphael and Elena. They don't seem forced or contrived, just poetic and sigh-worthy. ...more

I finished this the other day and I have to say that even though I really did enjoy this one it didn't have quite the punch that the first one did.
But I think that it was a necessary step back in a way so that she could build the characters within the book. You couldn't have Elena being able to all things as just new angel. Elena was good how she wanted to learn but felt frustrated with not being as good as she use to be even though she still has all of her hunter skills. I still have to say tha ...more

This was a fast-moving and well-written book, but not as good as the first. I loved watching Ellie and Raphael adjust to their lives, but there was so much other stuff going on that it started to feel like whatever could happen, would happen.

All in all I liked the book and will auto-buy her next in this series. And I enjoy Singh's writing enough to look into her Psy-Changling series. ...more

This was so much more enjoyable to read than my last read book. I was a little worried I'd be turned off of Singh's books for awhile, but I've been wanting to read Archangel's Kiss since I reread Angels' Blood fairly recently.

Elena is getting used to her new body and her new relationship with Raphael. She also has to deal with new rules and new people now that she is no longer just a Guild Hunter, but a new Made angel, and a lover of an archangel.

I felt so so after the first book in this series, then read the short story in Must Love Hellhounds, which is set in this world, and was very excited for this book. Sadly in the end it ended up being good, but not as good as I was hoping for. Ok, now that I've breezed through the second novel in just a matter of days I really enjoyed it. I even stopped playing world of warcraft so I could finish reading it. I loved seeing Elena and Raphael's relationship become something more than just sex. And you see a side of the archangel that makes you want one of your own. Yeah he's an alpha male but I want one. lol
