Perhaps I spoke too soon regarding this series? I was surprised to see that this book had higher ratings than the first book? What gives, folks? I was really unimpressed with this one. My ratings ranged from 1 to 3 stars in the book, never anything higher than that. Yes, I know I said I liked a touch of ridiculousness, but the keyword was a touch of ridiculous! Not absurd.... which is exactly what I got throughout the book.

Lucien was not a bad hero. I did not like that he was weak or losing for

Once again I sat down with A Lord of the Underworld and couldn't put it down til I turned the last page. (I am sooo digging this series!) It's fun, tortured, and every bit of addictive candy coated escapist reading as any of our favorites right now!

The Darkes Kiss is Lucien story- The Keeper of Death.

Lucien has met Anya, the Goddess of Anarchy, once before- well, he's heard her voice before at least. She was instrumental in releasing Maddox, his fellow Lord of the Underworld, from a long standin

This is a remarkable book. Not so much in writing style, but the plot and characters blew me away.

Brazen and free-spirited Anya, the minor goddess of chaos and, had one look at Lucien and fell into obsession. Lucien, scarred and naturally grim, returns the feeling, except he's under the impression that she is making fun of him. The circumstances that they are forced to be in are no better. The Titan king is after Anya, and he's using Lucien and his demon to deliver her death. Of course, they eve

"The Darkest Kiss" by Gena Showalter was definitely different from the first book in the Lords of the Underworld series, The Darkest Night. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed The Darkest Night with Ashlyn and Maddox, but I was laughing out loud throughout this book. Lucien and Anya were very comical together, and their interactions with one another and others was just entertaining.

Lucien, one of the Lords of the Underworld, possessed by the demon of Death, is used to being unemotional and dis

What a great book! I loved the play between Anya and Lucien...the struggles they both went through to come out on the other side was so tangible. The plight the other Lords are going through make me itchy to start plowing through all these books at once!

I liked this one a bit better than the first one. So far this series is very dark to me.
