I really recommend "reading" the audio-book version of this, Will Wheaton did an amazing job! I think If I had read it it might have been 3 stars instead of the now 4. I did really like it but I'm not a retro gamer, nor do I find the 80's all that amazing and there were a lot of references I didn't get. If you're an 80's lover you'll definitely love this. And I will admit it made me interested in looking at some of the movies mentioned.

Anyone who grew up in the 80's playing video games and watching movies will enjoy this sci-fi adventure.

Perfect book for those geeks and computer nerds out there. Characters are good enough that you understand why they are doing what they are doing. Story is intriguing and the author builds it up well. It does take a few chapters to really get moving as the characters come on stage, but when it gets going, it doesn't stop.
Spoiler alert.

I really thouroughly enjoyed this novel. I am sure, that if you have read the summary, you know the general idea behind the book. But it was written in such a way that the sequence of events just draws you in. The structure of the book and Cline's style sucks you in and keeps you hanging on for the next reveal. You find yourself identifying with the main character and truly caring about him and his struggles. This is by far, the best book I read in 2015.
