Zomerzoet describes one day in the life of housewife Annette Donker. It is an exceptionally well-written novel and while reading it, I couldn’t get rid of the feeling that a well-known author is hiding behind the pseudonym ‘Saskia van Baat’.
I just loved the humour in the book, for example on page 82, when the author (in the form of Jacques, one of Annette's lovers) is giving all kind of synonyms for the word penis and, with the exception of the first word, does this in alphabetical order! :-) An ...more
