In this graphic novel about middle schooler Callie who designs sets for her school’s very elaborate production of the (made up) play “Moon Over Mississippi.” She meets twins Justin, who gets the second lead, and Jesse, who is shy, helps out on the stage crew, but is there during the performance to help out during a middle school emergency. It’s sweet, and I liked the musical theater structure.
