And in case you didn’t get it that time, that phrase is repeated approximately fourteen times. I didn’t care for this parable that apparently is in “1,001 Nights.” The characters weren’t characters, they didn’t even have names, but titles: the boy, The Englishman, the Alchemist. It’s a self-help book, feel- good parable, in a poor masquerade as a novel. Not my thing.

I love the message of this book--we are capable of change and we all should pursue our own heroic journey. I hope my students find it as inspirational.
This was a beautiful reminder to keep following your dreams.
