This book takes place in a small Midwest town called Pine Valley. Everything I know about the Midwest I learned from Fargo (the movie AND the TV series!), so this book helped expand my knowledge (though expand doesn't quite cover it: I still imagine it as very boring, very desolate, which leads people to kill each other).
