I liked this one a lot, although I have to admit that I probably would've enjoyed it more if I like fae lore more.
Packed with adventure, romance and ... HOT FAERIE BOYS, Kagawa was able to pull her readers into her plots and twists with such ease it makes me smile just thinking back. That being said, I won't hesitate to admit that faeries just don't do it for me. I've read quite a few and only fell in love with one completely...and that was more pixie. I'm not sure why I'm not crazy for these c I liked this one a lot, although I have to admit that I probably would've enjoyed it more if I like fae lore more.

I'm not sure why I'm not crazy for these creatures as I am with all other fantasy and supernatural beings, but I'm just not too fond of them. Kagawa wasn't much different from the other writers, but her writing held a little bit more spark than the others.

Before I move on to the good things about this book (there were many), I'll just go through my few complaints.
1. Meghan and Ash's relationship was so unbelievable and undeveloped that it hurt me reading the part where she called herself his beloved. Seriously, I was appalled. Sure, he's attractive and she's powerful, but I don't care if you shared a dance and kissed because you've got chemistry - there's no LOVE in that relationship. Meghan's kidding herself, and Ash is using her to get her to the queen. A completely fake relationship. Or maybe that's because I read the book too fast...
Which brings me to number 2. I loved the beginning of IRON KING, but as the story progressed, I started moving further and further away from that love. Maybe, as I said, it's because of my unfaithful like to the fae worlds, but it may also be that the book just started dragging. It only picked up *minor spoiler* when Meghan encountered Shard, and then it started to downfall again.

Ok. Now on to the good things - Puck, Puck, Puck. He was so cute - when it was Robbie, I fell for him (I have something for the guys the girl's always known) and was hoping he wasn't some lousy human. (shudder.) He was funny in the dark places and heavy in the light. I loved everything about him...and was glad we've got a cute redhead on the scene!

Alright, in order to refrain from keeping this review abnormally lengthy, I'll stop there because that was truly about the greatest and lowest things about the book. All this aside, I'm not sure when I'll pick up IRON DAUGHTER, but I know I will and that I'll eagerly hope that it'll beat it's processor. ...more

ohmygod!! i loved this boook... the start was a bit boring and Puck annoyed me wen he revealed his true self, but then it got interesting. there was too much description to the castle and the Nevernever and i couldnt keep up, but i could still imagine it.
the way some creatures tried to stop her were ferocious and i never thaut she wud make it out, especially not from Ironhourse the second time. and the things some of the people gave up to help her were extraordinary, like Puck and Grim and the D ...more

Pleasently surpirsed, i didn't have very high standards for this book but it has left me wanting more. The begining didnt grab me right away which is why i had low hopes for this book in the first place. The way Meghan found things out about the fey turned me off but ignoring that, the rest of the book was really good. I liked Puck and i hope he comes back in the next iron fey. ...more

This was a great read. It adds a new realm to the fairy kingdom that I thought was interesting and enjoyable. It also left you wanting to look read the next one. Glad I stumbled across this recomendation.
