”My understanding of identity has been shattered—I am one facet of an infinitely faceted being called Jason Dessie who has made every possible choice and lived every life imaginable.”

I don’t know what I expected, but Dark Matter exceeded expectations when it comes to viewing one’s life and choices. I think I read this exactly at the right time in my life.

This may have affected me in a much more personal way than others. After losing the person closest to me and having a strong feeling I was in the wrong timeline from then on out, I connected with this book in a way that is hard to describe. Knowing I would do ANYTHING to get them back, but having confinements to this reality and body...

Wow, just wow. I can’t think of a single thing wrong with this book, right from the concept, to the pacing, to the many twists and turns the story takes you through. Blake Crouch has taken a complex concept and simplified it so much that you’re able to take the ‘science’ of it in your stride, allowing full focus on what’s happening with the central character. And then he takes you on a ride of your life. A fantastic book that I’ll recommend to everyone I come across for months to come.

On hold/DNF at 123 pages.

30 pages in, I couldn’t handle his dialogue since it was just so unnatural. But I’m just not sure if this is for me, really. It’s like a soft 3 star since I thought it was a 2 for at least 70 pages.

This book is so fantastic.
It confused the hell out of me, but I just can't even describe how good it was.
The plot is so well written, even though it got a bit confusing at times (which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars) but I have never read a book with a more interesting plot.
