4.7 stars- i love the poetry and emotions that fill this author's works. She writes so beautifully, a sweet sound sound to my soul. This story is filled with love, lose, happiness, suffering, and awakening. Sam and Grace, Isabel and Cole all wonderfully dimensional characters.

Shiver was a really good read and Linger was even better!! The author has cleverly created a series of books whereby the reader gets to experience the story, at first, through two main characters, and then through four main characters. The themes of love, redemption, and salvation are all brought forward here with eloquent beauty.
I would recommend this series of books to anyone. ...more

Sam and Grace, who gives a crap, they are bat-shit boring.
Sam: I'm human now and have to take care of these wolves, but not really because I'm too busy mopping around because my girlfriend's parents don't like me. Maybe I'll go write some more sappy, emo songs or bake bread.
Grace: I'm like really sick and probably dying, but I'm not going to tell anyone and who cares anyway because my parents suck and won't let me see my boyfriend so I have to sneak around.

I'm still really enjoying this series. For a YA story, the author might have gone the over-simplistic route, but instead has some surprisingly astute observations that make their way into the story.
The overly-dramatic love story (between people who barely love each other) is still not believable, but it works well enough for the book's purpose.
I will be listening to book #3 when my library hold comes through. :-) ...more

This book was amazing. I would never have guessed the ending. It was perfect. I can't wait to read the next one to see what happens.
I wasn't sure if this book would be as good as the first, but Maggie Stiefvater did it. She wrote a sequel as good as the first. ...more
