What Members Thought
Being Classic Sci-Fi, I was expecting very dry prose, and more concepts than story. But this book turned out to be more engaging than I expected.
In many ways it's more like a collection of different stories with a common underlying theme, but the theme is interesting enough that I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
Also, I really enjoyed the way Isaac Asimov writes characters who are the smartest-guy-in-the-room. ...more

Foundation is a disjointed conglomeration of stories about a man who has learned how to predict the future through mathematics and what happens when he tries to apply this "science", called psychohistory, to social progress. Although it was very dry, the sardonic and acerbic wit of many of the characters was its saving grace. If you are a fan of satire, you may get a kick out of Foundation.

I keep surprising myself with books I thought I would not like.
This was an entertaining and simple evolution of human condition.
I found this book to be rather educational.
It was a bit more colder in characters and themes than I usually like in my books.
I liked it.
Not sure do I need to keep reading the other books in the series though.
