2 stars Audiobook: After having this book recommended to me for years by so many friends, I gave it a go. I struggled with this one. It went from being monotonous to semi interesting for me. The main character Joe, was too much inner dialog, repetitive and boring. His mantras ticked away at my cares about the book till there was nearly nothing left. I started reading this this morning and I had a hard time getting through the first 10 chapters and it made me realise why. I don’t like reading in second person point of views. I know it’s written this way so you really get into Joe’s mind. But it’s really not for me. Maybe I’ll pick up reading it at another time. But for now I can’t finish it.
So no rating for now.

After 6 months I finally finished this book. It was so uncomfortable to read. My daughter finished the netflix series long before.

I will admit, the author captures the psychopathic relationship perfectly, so she has either a really good imagination or she actually experienced this. (There's a third option: she did really good research).
