I never read this book in juior high - i really enjoyed the writing style - though i really thought there would be less about romance...
Fitzgerald is second only to Herman Wouk as 20th century classics go.... and most of his work is a lot shorter. No one can condense more meaning into fewer words than Scott Fitzgerald. The Great Gatsby is the jewel in his crown.
