Such a powerful book that so "eloquently" describes the rage that is within Black women. Each chapter dives into the many ways that Black women have had to content with and the many coping methods employed to manage the mistreatment and disregard they face on a daily basis. Cooper balances wholeheartedly encouraging Black women (all women) to feel their rage with a sense of love and hope. It feels as each chapter is the result of her own processing and is laid out for us to learn and share from.

I loved this book, which is essentially a collection of related essays that address every topic you'd want a book like this to address. Many of the books I've seen about women's anger focus on white women or are written by white women, and while I think those books are useful, I appreciate the opportunity to look at women's anger from the perspective of a black woman.
