I really wanted to like this story. The reviews were mostly very good. And the plot was a unique "What-if?"/variation.

As a young seventeen yr old, Elizabeth Bennet marries her childhood sweetheart against her fathers wishes. This is how this P&P alternative starts out. Unfortunately Elizabeth's happiness is not to be and she is widowed after only 1 mo of marriage. The result of this marriage is a little boy named Bennet Charlton and the story resumes a few years later. This is where the real story begins. Elizabeth is now back at Longbourne and Netherfield is finally let. The story and the journey is wonderful. ...more
