Lots of my book friends know that I love sport romance (I love sports and was a total jock in school)...but they also know I love Hater romance...You know the guy that you hate because he pushes you...bullies you...makes you into someone that you dont recognize. Penelope Douglas in my opinion is the Queen of Hater Romance books... and this is my all out FAV!

Rika (short for Erika is wealthy and the most beautiful), she is from a small wealthy town, where she is considered the town princess. Rika (short for Erika is wealthy and the most beautiful), she is from a small wealthy town, where she is considered the town princess. Perfect, sweet, and bound to be the perfect trophy wife. Rika is a wealthy socialite. Whose father left her millions that will be released to her at a certain age. Her Godparents (Michael and Trevor's parents) are making sure that she stays in the right path of being the best for their son younger son Trevor.

Michael, He is the oldest child to one of the wealthiest familes known to be the most handsome bad boy in the small wealthy town. He is rich, plays hard, best at everything especially sports and being bad.

Trevor is Michael's younger brother and believes that Rika has been his since her birth. Trevor hates his older brother Michael. He sees how Rika looks at Michael and sees how Michael looks at Rika. Trevor wants no one to have Rika but him. He will do anything to make sure that Rika belongs to him.

Will, Kai and Damon are Michaels best friends. They call themselves the Four Horsemen. The four are all bad boys with big bank accounts due to their family wealth and power. Noone dare says anything to them. They own that town and everybody fears them. For Michael the Four Horsemen are his family. Michaels dad thinks he is a screw up and is caught up in wanting Rica to marry Trevor for money.

Penelope Douglas did not disappoint in the mind games. 40% of the book was past, and present POV from Michael and Rika. Going back and forth had my mind going CRAZY!!!!!!!! If you read to fast..... you will get a headache to keep up with the flow. Absolutely refreshing to read a book that makes you read slow and has you not know what the next chapter will be. THRILLING< SEXSUAL. Now after that 40% girl hold on to your ovaries....The sex in this book really captivates your imagination.WoWSERS!!!

This story is about Michael and his friends taking revenge on Rika. The revenge is for something Rika did years ago or atleast that is how it looks. This book is also about Rika becoming a strong woman and not letting everyone just push her around.This girl has balls. ALL RESPECT>>>HANDS DOWN TO THIS GIRL!!!! FEARLESSS!!!!
In the end you will realize that it takes someone to push you to greatness. You hear it all the time, "Behind a good man is a good woman...But behind a good woman is a good man. And for me in the last pages I understood, How Michael and Rika both needed each other to push each other to be strong.

Love love love love love this book. Penelope Jordan has really grown into a great romance author. Giving us a story not typical to the romantic theory. I personally have Read hundreds of romance books a year and I find myslef always checking her FB page or website to see what she is up to. Brining new ideas as a strong woman such as Rica. Is a new light in the romance category. I can remember being in the 2nd grade reading my Harlequin romance..the book about a girl needing a strong man to help her.. damsle in distress...I still love thos books....But women are changing....We are stronger...and we work with men, compete with men and the fact that this girl RICA could hold her own with these guys is refreshing. Just shows you how sometimes a strong woman can be sexy as hell!

My very first book from Pen Douglas was Punk 57 and found out that the characters who met Misha at the police station had their own book. So I figured, what the hell! I might as well check it out. And check it out I did. Even after reading the reviews for Corrupt, I am glad I dove in.

oooh mmmy gaaawd!!!
I loved this book so hard!!! Everything about it was awesome. The tiniest of details came out to "play" later. It was so crazy!! I almost skipped to the end several times because I couldn't handle the suspense!! I HAD TO KNOW!!!! But I yelled at my self and stood strong! lol. I'm about to go reread it because I can't walk away yet. It was soooo good!!!!
It's hot and sexy and mean and strong and twisted and swoony and fucked up to the fullest and OMG it's EVERYTHING!!!!

The Fall Away series was fantastic, so I had no doubt that Corrupt would be great too. But I was blown away by how much Penelope put into this one book! It had just as much of the craziness and drama of and mind games as the series - I loved it! This one got a little kinky too. Lol!
But it did touch on a lot of poignant issues, such as letting others dictate your choices and life, and betrayal and family drama and making assumptions...and overwhelmingly, the resistance of the human heart and mind ...more

This book was so amazingly twisted yet awesome. I was captivated from the very beginning. This is my favorite Penelope book to date. Her writing just gets better and better. I know it's written as a standalone but I'd love to see it turn into a series that includes the other characters. I wish I could immediately re-read this book without knowing what comes next.
