I listened to this and I wish I had read it instead so I could go back and reread sections I didn’t understand. It was a very long convoluted story and I loved it in the beginning but as I got deeper into the plot, it felt like the author had so many ideas, she couldn’t decide on one so she threw them all in. Very disappointed because I loved The Night Circus. I’ll keep reading this author because she has an amazing imagination but this one was a miss.
This was just not for me. To each their own though and I’m glad so many other readers are loving it!
Book 76 of 2020. Just a really wonderful novel. I loved the world and character building. I haven't wanted to live in the place a book describes so much since Harry Potter. My only complaint is that it should have been a series instead of a standalone book.
