I'm slowly working my way through The Walton's, and so I decided to read the "true" story of the family. Taking in account literary license, its easy to see the inspiration for the show. I picked this book for the Around the Year challenge week 44. A book related in some way to a tv show/series or movie you enjoyed (same topic, same era, book appeared in the show/movie, etc.), but it could just as easily fit the book with a strong sense of place, multi-generational saga, or book with elderly cha
