This is an entertaining, snarky fantasy action mystery jumble-of-genres. We are thrown into the midfle of the action and have to figure out a bunch of things: this entire world of space-faring necromancers who nevertheless end up in a locked-room mystery where they are getting picked off one by one, in the style of And Then There Were None.

Rounded up from 2 1/2 stars. The voice and characters weren't for me, but I appreciated the And Then There Were None-esque styling. I never really got invested in the plot and speed-read through it, which is a good sign that I'm not really invested in something. It did have its moments though, and extra points for originality and representation. ...more

Well written, waaaaaaaay too long, needlessly convoluted, not for me.
