I really enjoyed reading Creep and Freak by this author so I was hoping this book wouldn't disappoint me and I'm happy to say it didn't.

Geo charged and sentence for helping to cover up her friend's murder from back when she was a teenager. Calvin her then boyfriend because a serial killer after that first kill.

Geo goes years just living moving forward with her life until she's arrested once the body of her friend is found.

This was probably a three star read for me, but some of the events at the end took it down.

The prison segment, which was the best part of the book, seemed really, really inspired by the TV show Orange is the New Black.

After Geo was released from prison the book went downhill for me. The mystery, such as it was, wrapped up far too neatly. The twist was really too much, and pretty unbelievable as well. Don't get me started on that epilogue.

This is the first book I have read by Jennifer Hillier and I really enjoyed it. I did predict the twist at the end although it was still really good! All the characters had a bit of good and evil in them and it reminded me a bit of Dexter where even the darkest characters you wanted to love (even if it was just a little). I will definitely pick up another book at some point by this author.
