Two longer short stories make up this collection. The characters are somewhat quirky and dealing with grief at a relatively young age. In Kitchen, a young man opens his home and family after the death of her grandmother and only family. The space and kitchen help her process the loss and start something new as they continue to support each other. In Moonlight, friends also work to find a way to say good-bye to their loved ones especially those that depart too soon.

In the preface to this book the author says she wrote this whilst working and had to keep writing until she had got what was inside her out. All very noble but the trouble is I have no idea what was inside her, how this book describes it or even if it is now fully out. I see nothing Funny or original about it. Yet another book praised because it is praised it seems

Started off strong but then fell flat less than halfway through. Felt a bit angsty and emo. Also, the third part was a completely different stand-alone story with some supernatural elements that felt lacking.
