I love when a mystery writer can throw me off as much as this author does. I hate when I can guess the who conne it part of the book. Usually I can predict the ending but this is the 2nd book I've read from Lisa Scottoline that I totally never saw the ending happening. The who done it came out of nowhere and I love that.

The voice of the narrator didn’t change much when shifting perspectives, so sometimes I missed a bit of detail as I hadn’t expected the shift to a new point of view. Doesn’t detract from the story necessarily, but still it might bias you in believing who might be the bad guy in this story. I got really tired of the emphasis on “number 2” as a detail throughout the story.
