The story was just okay. I saw the "twist" coming from the first chapter. I thought it was pretty obvious. But I will say that the narrator of the audiobook did an excellent job!

I love Nora Roberts - her storytelling talent is phenomenal. Although I think some of her characters are a bit generic (they could interchange with any of her books without too many alterations) I still love her stories. I get caught up in the story she creates and the rest of the world drops away. So, for that, this is a 4.5 star read for me. Still one of my all time favourite authors.

Every time I say I am not going to read another Nora Roberts because "they are all the same", she makes another interesting book. Having been a single mom and a daughter who is a single mom, I love Griff!
