I saw this book on instagram so many times so I decided to give it a try. I loved this from the first chapter. The main character, Vhalla is a librarian's apprentice who finds out she can wield magic. She has to deciede if she is going to keep it and complicate her life or, get her magic "eradicated" and keep on with her regular life. The characters are complex and not all good or all evil. I cannot wait to continue on.

Lots of YA fantasy cliches/tropes and not a lot happens at first. I started to like it more near the end (like a 3.5 stars) so I might pick up the next books in the series, because it was an easy read.
