Ferrante's writing pulls one into the story. It seems that the translator is highly skilled.
This is my second reading of this novel but my first read of an e-book (via Kindle for PC in this case) and I am finding it a a less satisfying book to read in this format. Previously, when I read this novel - in a hardbound copy - I frequently switched back and forth between the book's main text and its character list.
