This is a very tough book for me to review since I don't feel like I have gotten the full experience of Proust's writing. After finishing the last page, I knew that this is a book to be read not only once but several times. There are many subtle references and connections I know I missed.

This was my first time experiencing Proust. And it was a pleasant surprise. For some reason I expected stuffy writing, but really it was a long slow walk down memory lane, full of poignant memories and cherished details. The narrator either has the most phenomenal memory of all time, or was a scrupulous journalist. Or it's just a novel; but a novel this extraordinary obviously is born from an extraordinary mind. I look forward to more Proust in the future.
