This is a fabulous book, it might be fiction but there is a t least some factual context to it. Many of the characters e.g. Rooosevelt did hold the roles described although Dr Laszlo Kreisler seems entirely fictional. There is lots of depth and detail to this book both in the historical context of the time and the geographical changes to new york. The use of developing forensic science is another subtext to the book. It is extremely well written and the characterisation is excellent.
