For me a one star book is one I did manage to finish, although I probably skimmed quite a lot. For me to enjoy a book I need to connect with and like, at least one character and this was not possible here. What a bunch of shallow self-centred characters! Learning about Brooklyn was interesting. But for the rest - forget it. At least it was a free Kindle first book!
