This book made me laugh and cry. Anxiety and depression are very real many people feel like it isn’t a disease but it truly is. One can relate to Aza’s struggle not only with the illness but with taking medication. Great story of friendship, first love, growing up and the real issues of mental health that affect teens today.
I liked the way this had elements of being a mystery, without actually being one. I liked the characters in the book.
It was a little odd the way I could see the author coming through based on things I have seen him talk about while he was writing it; that took me out of it a bit because I was thinking "this is something John would say" instead of "this is Aza" but it wasn't bad.
The ending would have bothered me when I was younger, but I feel like I can relate to it better now. ...more
