The problem with an author who is a psychopath/sociopath, it turns out, is that he has zero empathy for other people. In other words, he has no idea how other people think or feel or speak. A solid psychological thriller. Gets really deep at times but overall I liked the narrator. Reads like a classic film noir movie and I kept picturing Robert Mitchum as one of the main characters in a black and white movie in my head while reading the second half. I really enjoyed all the noir film references scattered throughout as well.
