Probabilmente sono io che l'ho affrontato con lo spirito sbagliato, ma mi sono annoiata a morte - anche se il libro si legge in uno starbuto; credo che però l'autore abbia fatto un grandissimo lavoro di ricostruzione storica (ma sono troppo pigra per informarmi meglio, scusami Seth!), quindi gli regalo volentieri la terza stellina!

I had this book forced on me by a drunken friend who told me that I should read this book, that I would really enjoy it. I'm pretty sure the words "right up your alley" came out of his mouth. So I shoved the book in my purse and continued my drunken book talk. I think we talked about Michael Pollan after that. Who knows. Anyways, I made it home with the book in tow and promptly forgot about it. But after a few days of reading The Witching Hour, I was ready for a change.

I read this book because I was curious about it-- and I kept on reading it because I was curious how it would end. Just take what you know about Abraham Lincoln and add vampires. The Civil War-- due to vampires (they fought with the South for a gruesome reason I won't discuss). I ended up really disliking the book, kept on thinking it would be interesting.
