Wow. I am not usually a fan of Stephen King's writing but I really enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down, for the most part.

This was a pleasure to listen to as an audiobook. My love for King's books has been rekindled with this.

I was really invested in the characters, so the ending was especially moving. I didn't know a Stephen King book would make me cry.

Dang this book is long. This started out as a 3 star read/listen for me, but I became progressively more and more irritated at its excessive length, so it was downgraded to 2 stars, and then finally down to 1 star. This just didn't need to be this long.

This would be a great book if you're snowed in at your family's ski lodge,* with nothing better to do than drink hot cocoa, play gin rummy, and listen to a long-ass story. Unfortunately, I am not stranded in a ski lodge, and I resented the amount

Stephen King’s books were among the very first “adult” books I read (I devoured The Stand when I was in 7th grade), but as an adult I’m wishy-washy about him. Some of his books appeal to me, and others (like Lisey’s Story) don’t appeal to me at all. In fact, this will be only the second fiction book of his that I’ve reviewed on this blog in the last 7 years. This was one of Stephen King's better books in a long time and it even had a really good ending. Some people might complain that it is too long and about halfway, I was worried that things were going to get bogged down in too much detail about Oswald and the events leading up to the assassination. I was pleasantly surprised that King kept things moving.

One of my favorite aspects of this book, other than the fascinating ideas around time travel that he has written, is the main character Jake Eppi
