A fast-paced thriller, a page-turner, a love story, an odyssey. We all wonder what would have been if we made different choices - how would our life, our world be different. Jason Dessen gets to explore alternatives the hard way. This originally was a movie script, and it reads like it - very visual. My only beef is the pseudo-science - quantum mechanics does not work this way, folks. But who really cares?

Crouch is my go-to author if I am looking for a trippy, bend reality, or in this case, alternate reality, story. This one starts of rocky, as the main character, Jason, is presented as a brilliant scientist. However he spend the first chapters acting so moronic, that I almost stopped reading. I’m glad I stayed with it, cause this story is so wacky , I easily forgave the less than stellar beginning. 4/5

Not my typical read, but very thought provoking and weirdly relatable. Science fiction and quite "sciencey" at that, but easy enough to follow for a non-sci-fi reader. ...more

This was really between a 3 and 4. It was very sci fi and a little complicated but it was interesting.
