Fantastic, mind bending, (sorta) science fiction book that I finished in two sittings. Jason Dessen has a quiet life in Chicago with his wife and teenage son until he is kidnapped at gunpoint by a masked man. Jason is brought to an abandoned building, injected with some drugs and knocked unconscious. One of those books where the storytelling catches you from the first page and it's almost impossible to put down until it's over. Didn't dwell on the science so much that I got freaked out, thankfully. :-)

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really liked this book! I'm not much of a science fiction or mystery reader, but this book features my favorite aspects of the best books/films/shows of those genres with great, "literary fiction"-style writing.
"Dark Matter" is a book I couldn't put down. I raced to the end. Once or twice, I thought I guessed the ending, but I believe Crouch wants readers to realize certain plot twists just before they are presented outright. There were mor ...more

This was the best book I have read in a while. I didn't want to put it down. Recently I read a short story by Jorge Luis Borges (The Garden of Forking Paths) that kind of reminds me of this, as well. Weird how you can stumble on the same ideas from completely different sources within a short time of each other.
