I don't think that I can adequately express how much I loved this book. It charmed me, made me laugh, filled me with childlike joy and made me want to read it again (which I immediately did.)
The story is a simple one; a father goes out for milk for his children's cereal and returns much, much later with a fantastic story of aliens, a stegosaurus, islanders who worship a volcano god, "wumpires" and ponies. A cute, adventure filled, quick read. Such a great message for kids and parents that a story can be spun from looking at everyday objects.
