Solid book, and solid wrap-up to the Patrick Kenzie/Angie Gennaro series. This book returns to the case from Gone Baby Gone (you may remember the movie). It's twleve years later, Patrick and Angie are still a team, and now Amanda mcCready has disappeared again. Good writing, a bit wistful about how we're all much older now. Things hurt more, people's evil bites more, and it's harder to feel like a good guy if you're a PI. I wish Angie had gotten a bit more to do, but was very interested in Amand

I was in a classics mood, but there was a pathetic selection at the SV Branch Library, so I picked up this book. Since I'd read Gone, Baby, Gone a couple years ago I was already familiar with many of the characters. Lehane is a good mystery writer and he doesn't always do the expected, which I appreciate.
