Nicely ties up all the loose plot lines in a satisfying way, but I had the feeling that the author's heart just wasn't in it any more. This book did not particularly captivate me in the way that some of the older ones did. Epilogue was unbearably sappy and that really ruined the ending for me.

Yes, I've joined the Harry Potter nation. I'm almost to page 400. I'll let you know how it goes.

This book was excellent, possibly the best of the series. It is definitely one of my my two favorites of the series. Rowling has done an amazing job bringing together all the loose ends, and even ends you didn't know were loose to begin with, and tying them up into a beautiful bow. Characters are revealed for who they really are, and for what their motives really are. There are massive, timeless themes at play here--redemption, forgiveness, love, sacrifice...in some ways it reminds me of the Mat

Tomorrow I'm going to get the book, and read it. I'm going to get up at 8 and wait for it to come.
I hope that this book isn't as bad as the Half Blood Prince was.
I read it in less than 6 hours on the 21st.
And now I will write a small review, that I don't think has any spoilers in it, but it is an impression of the book.
The first half was predictable, really predictable, but it got better for the second half. And the epilogue leaves something to be desired, I honestly thought it'd be longer.... ...more

An extremely fitting end to a wonderful series! No spoilers here, but I don’t think fans will be disappointed. Truthfully, the ending was more satisfying than I expected. More answers than I found at the end of the Unfortunate Events series. I’d like to kiss J.K. Rowling’s feet for what she’s done to interest children in reading.
I feel a little let down now that I’m done — but I always feel that way at the end of a series. I think I’ll have to read the last couple of chapters again!

Non-spoilery: I liked it. A lot. It was a little draggy in the middle, and I could have lived quite happily w/o the epilogue, but I was very satisfied and happy with what she did and how she ended it. Plus, it is difficult not to love a book that has pre-teen and teen boys in literal fits while reading. =)
Fun, and gripping. Not perfect, and the epilogue was hokey, but it did conclude the series and answer most of the outstanding questions (but not all).
Great ending to the series! All I have to say is, wow, I wasn't expecting an ending of that caliber.
