Though this is but the first in a series of books about Anne, it stands alone quite nicely.

I have read this book before, and when I first started it, I was not a fan of the narrator. But I stuck with it, and it was just wonderful. The narrator did such a good job with each character, making them come to life. She did great voices for all of the characters, and once I got used to her voice it was very soothing. It really made this classic come alive again, and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books. Give this one a shot, you will be glad you did. I was given this book for free for
