I've attempted to read this book multiple times before, after watching the Ethan & Gwyneth movie. Over the years, its meaning of "great expectations" has stayed with me. Finally, I finished it via an audiobook.
It was relatable to see Pip navigating life - trying to figure out whom to trust, learning that love can be given freely, caring about social status, seeing beyond first impressions, etc.. Even the side characters are unforgettable. ...more
