This is supposed to be a classic and though I can see the morality behind the story I found it too short to be good enough.
The characters were superficial, the story line too short and too abdrupt, which made it impossible for me to get into the heads of any of them consequently making the ending something I could watch on telly instead of actually feeling the impact.

This book is barely 100 pages long, yet it took me a while to get through it. Not because I didn't like the writing, not because I didn't like the story. I think it took me a while because this tiny book packs a huge emotional punch.
