It had some sad and touching parts, but honestly fell short of my expectations. I am not sure why this is such a popular book for teachers in high school. Because it’s short?

This is supposed to be a classic and though I can see the morality behind the story I found it too short to be good enough.

The characters were superficial, the story line too short and too abdrupt, which made it impossible for me to get into the heads of any of them consequently making the ending something I could watch on telly instead of actually feeling the impact.
